About Us!

Les & Sweetie Berry have lived their own happily ever after (well most of the time) remarriage since 2002. When they met in 2002, they each had custody of their own two children. Les’s children were 12 and 16, Sweetie’s children 5 and 8. They cross country dated for too short a time before figuring out that commuting 600 miles per weekend and cell bills would be better spent figuring out how to combine their two families and create a joyful place together called HOME.

Les is a Department of Defense administrator, Sweetie a wife first and foremost, mom and step mom….but mainly she’s a hot mess! She wears a myriad of hats as a wordsmith, creative strategist and educator.  Les can be found traditional bow hunting, making bows, fishing, or enjoying being her best fella as he rescues his damsel who often finds herself in directional distress, lost (even with a Tom Tom), or bringing home things for him to recreate for their home. Sweetie is a swirl of energy where ever you catch up with her, she is truly one high energy girl and wears a thousand hats a week as she facilitates projects from their home in Alabama or travels on behalf of her projects.  Her passion is helping people reach their potential and complete their goals. You can count on her for doing more with less, always shopping for the best bargain for the things and people she loves…and always desiring to do more with Les for that matter!

In their spare time they love to work on projects together at the house, wander yard sales, and spend time together with their five dogs, four fish, one rabbit, and the cat who allows them to feed it, and which ever or all of their four children they can convince to come with them! God has placed in their hearts a desire to share their story of God’s restoration of their lives, their losses, and the abundant life they share through Him. Their story isn’t a fairy tale, and they don’t pretend to have all the answers. It is their hope that in transparently sharing the journey, hearts will be mended, friendships will be made, and resources for our step family lives will be shared. You can come along on the journey as they discover the paths that lead to their own joyful place called home.  God is good!
